Mitchell Boldin

Mitchell received his master's degree in Information Science at the University of Michigan. He is interested in the ways in which data-driven web and mobile applications can facilitate learning. In his free time, he enjoys reading fiction and playing the guitar.

Elizabeth Epstein

Elizabeth is a second year medical student at UCSD School of Medicine. She is currently looking at data from online health communities to try to understand why more breast cancer patients are choosing to undergo contralateral prophylactic mastectomy, the demographics of those patients, and the influence of online social networks on that decision. She is fascinated by the treatment decision-making process, particularly that of breast cancer patients, and the complex set of factors that influence patients' decisions for better or worse.

Hannah Kang

Hannah Kang is a undergraduate student studying biomedical engineering at Vanderbilt University. Her research interest include medicine, biomolecular engineering, and health informatics. With previous experience in wet-lab research, she is excited to learn and develop skills in programming and informatics during her time at iDash. She enjoys cooking, running, singing, and hanging out with friends.

Ziyi Li

Ziyi Li is a second-year PhD student from Department of Biostatistics and Bioinformatics at Emory University. She obtained her BS degree of statistics from Peking University at 2012 and her MPH degree of biostatistics from Yale University at 2014. Her research interests are multivariate analysis, application of artificial intelligence on medical research.

(Ella) Qiongyu Meng

Ella is a Master of Health Informatics student from University of Michigan with three years of experience in Quality Management. Her area of interest is improving healthcare through health informatics technology, including UX design, healthcare service consulting, and data analytics.

Ted Ochiai

Ted recently graduated from UC San Diego with a B.S. in Computer Science. He is interested in developing mobile applications, working with big data, and learning about project management. He also enjoys playing all kinds of sports in his free time.l.

Sunjay Ravishankar

My name is Sunjay Ravishankar, I am going to be a 4th year Bioengineering: Bioinformatics student at UCSD. My goal is to pursue a Masters degree, and afterwards work in industry. I enjoy playing basketball and making music

Meera Reghunathan

Meera is currently transitioning to her second year of medical school at UCSD School of Medicine. After completing a BS in Bioengineering at Caltech, she aspires to apply bioinformatics and computer science to medical research. Her passions include women's health and access to care in developing countries.

Zhu Tianyi

Zhu Tianyi is a Senior student from the Department of Automation of Tsinghua University, Zhu's main research interests include image processing, computer vision and machine learning. He is currently focusing on data analyzing. Swimming and traveling both are his favorite activities.

Kenneth Trang

Kenneth (Kenny) is currently a junior at Carlsbad High School, located in northern California. Though he is definitely more than qualified for the position, he is very thankful for the opportunity to do research with iDASH and be around other students who, unlike him, have far past a high school degree. He is currently conducting Breast Cancer research on the factors that lead to a patient receiving or not receiving a Contralateral Prophylactic Mastectomy (factors such as, whether or not they have insurance, a family history, etc.). Besides being an iDASH intern, he is the president of Scripps Encinetas’s Young Leaders in Health Care Organization, a member of his school’s varsity swim team, a member of his varsity debate team, and an avid sleeper.

Chenghong Wang

Chenghong is currently a master student major in Computer Science at Syracuse University. He received his bachelor degree in information security from Harbin Engineering University, China. His research interests include complex network dynamics, graph mining, games on network and their application in security and privacy area.

Wu Weijia

Wu Weijia is a senior student majoring in automation at Tsinghua University. His research interests include embedded system and control algorithm. In his spare time, he enjoys playing basketball with friends.
