Biomedical Data Sharing:  Ethical and Legal Perspectives was a half-day workshop located at the UC San Diego's Calit2/ Atkinson Hall Auditorium and hosted by the UCSD Division of Biomedical Informatics.  The workshop assembled specialist in bioethics, privacy policy and law, as well as stakeholders from government, healthcare institutions, research, and patient advocacy groups to explore and help clarify core issues in biomedical data sharing from ethical, legal and technological perspectives.  The workshop will help facilitate cross-disciplinary understanding and education in this inherently interdisciplinary field. Invited speakers include:
