Brian E. Chapman, PhD, is an Associate Professor in the UCSD School of Medicine’s Division of Biomedical Informatics. His expertise is in medical imaging and has done research on medical image acquisition of, feature extraction from, and human interaction with medical images from a variety of modalities including MRI, CT, and mammography. His current research focuses on developing tools for the quantitative analysis of vascular images. He is leading the efforts to incorporate images and imaging tools into iDASH and is associate director for the San Diego Biomedical Informatics Education and Research training program.
