This virtual machine (VM) has a suite of open-source NLP tools installed. To access the VM, you will need your Unified Medical Language System® (UMLS) username and password. If you do not have one already, go to the UTS website to request one. If you ahve forgotten your UMLS username and/or password, please reset it at the UTS website before using this form.

The following NLP software is installed on the VM:

• eHOST - an annotation interface for manually annotating text
• MetaMap - a tool for indexing text to UMLS concepts
• cTAKES - a UIMA-based information extraction system
• Evaluation Workbench - a tool for comparing and viewing two sets of annotations and for calculating performance of one against the other
• Automated Retrieval Console (ARC) - a tool for creating a classifier for text based on NLP-derived features

Once your UMLS account is validated, we will send you an email with instructions on how to download and install the VM.
